Pomegranate heliothis worm

Heliothis pest has larva in pale green to dark brown. In some years, larva feed from fresh pomegranate fruit’s peel depending on weather conditions and penetrate to the fruit by making a hole on it.
Heliothis outbreak depends on factors such as: 1- Overpopulation of autumn pupae 2- Average air temperature being 23°C or more from May to June 3- Air relative humidity arrive at 60% or more in June and July 4- decreasing useful insects population and activities.
